Nith Valley Construction successfully completed the construction of a new three-storey, 22,000 square foot multi-residential building for Indwell under a CCDC 2 – Stipulated Price Contract. The project was designed and constructed to meet PHIUS (Passive House Institute US) certification standards, requiring exceptional attention to building envelope performance, airtightness, energy efficiency, and quality control throughout construction.

The development consists of 23 residential units and was designed to provide high-quality, energy-efficient affordable housing. The building includes four dedicated exit stairwells, providing safe and efficient means of egress while meeting applicable Ontario Building Code requirements.

The exterior envelope incorporates a durable combination of brick masonry and architectural siding, complemented by high-performance triple-glazed windows to maximize thermal performance and occupant comfort. The roof system features a two-ply modified bitumen roofing assembly, selected for its long-term durability and weather resistance.

The completed facility provides residents with a durable, comfortable, and highly energy-efficient living environment while supporting Indwell's mission of developing sustainable and affordable housing. This project demonstrates NVC's capability to successfully deliver technically demanding, high-performance building projects through effective planning, collaboration, and quality-focused construction management.
